Admission in the UK

The qualifications you need depend on the course you want to study. You'll be expected to have completed at least 13 years of education in your own country or the UK, and to have taken pre-university qualifications equivalent to UK A-levels, Scottish Higher or National Diplomas.

HND Qualifications equivalent to one or two UK A-levels, two Scottish Highers or a Higher National Certificate or BTEC National Diploma; or an international foundation year. Plus IELTS 5.5-6.0

Student Visa Process

  • The student intending to study in any educational institutions including universities and colleges in uk for longer than 3 months period must have a residence permit except for nationals of Nordic countries.

Plus IELTS 6.0-6.5 Post Graduate Admissions To begin a postgraduate course in the UK, you'll need to hold an undergraduate degree from the UK or overseas. This is the foundation from which you'll be able to go on to a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma or a master's degree and then, afterwards, to a PhD. You'll be expected to have obtained a first or good 2:1 (or international equivalent) in a directly related subject and you'll also need to speak English to at least IELTS 6.5 level. Visa Application Process

If you do not belong to EEA (European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) then you'll have to fulfil some immigration requirements. Students belonging to many countries will need to obtain a British Student Visa to study in UK. They can do this at the British Embassy, High Commission or Consulate of Britain. Students from some Commonwealth countries where obtaining a student visa is not compulsory must also have to get entry clearance before leaving their home. This is to make sure a Right of Appeal in the unlikely event that entry is refused.
